Ashtotra · Effective October 6, 2026 (updated for meditation)

Ashtotra helps you read, listen to and chant daily prayers and the 108 sacred names. It does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information.

What we collect

Nothing. Ashtotra has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app makes no network connections, and we do not run any servers.

What stays on your device

Ashtotra saves only these, on your device: your chosen script and settings, your favourites, where you stopped in each list, the days you prayed and meditated, and how many times you have completed each list. If you use iCloud backups, they may be included in your own backup, which Apple controls. Deleting the app removes everything.

Read aloud and reminders

Read aloud uses your device's built-in voice, on the device. If you turn on the daily reminder, Ashtotra schedules a local notification on your device; it is not sent through any server.

Your Music library

If you choose "My devotional song" for meditation, Ashtotra asks permission to access your Music library so it can play the song you pick. It only remembers which song you chose, on your device, and never reads, uploads or changes anything else in your library.

Children

Ashtotra is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the date above.
